Throughout the year, CASA for Kids, Inc. holds fundraising events to help generate funds to enable the organization to continue training community volunteers so that they advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

 

CASA for Kid's spring fundraising gala for 2010, "Chefs for CASA " was held at Bella Sera Event Venue in Canonsburg on April 23, 2010, this event will featured food prepared by Angelo's, Franco' Trattoria, and Bella Sera Catering. Desserts were provided by Bartram House Bakery and Creations by Carlini. Mediterra Bakehouse provided the bread. Thank you to everyone who purchased our Southwest Airlines Raffle tickets for $3.00 each. As always this is a very successful fundraiser and our thanks goes out to Southwest Airlines for their very generous donation. This year's winner asked that his name not be announced.

 

Thank you to everyone who attended and donated to our October 22nd "Vendors Fair". The event raised over $400 that will be used to towards training for our 2010 CASA volunteer training sessions.

 

Congratulations to the "Wake Up Your Dreams" 2009 Winner, Katelyn Duran. "Wake Up Your Dreams" challenges vocally talented high school students from Washington County to compete for prizes and the chance to be named the winner of the Wake Up Your Dreams competition. The event raises money for CASA for Kids through sponsorships and donations, as well as through ticket sales to the regional and final competitions.

 

Our "Money Tree Raffle" ticket winner was drawn at Wake Up Your Dreams on November 13th at Charleroi High School. The winners were Joel and Mary Beth Cook. CASA for Kids appreciates all of the individuals who purchased raffle tickets for the Money Tree Raffle.
