Become a CASA Connection Volunteer

Not everyone feels that becoming a Child Advocate is the right fit for them.
CASA for Kids has a variety of other volunteer opportunities that help support the
mission of the organization.  Volunteers are needed many areas, such as Special Events , Computers, Fundraising , Clerical Work,  and Social Media (see the list below for more details).
Becoming a CASA Connection Volunteer  is a way for people who want to help in
a more behind-the-scenes role or for those who feel they are unable to
commit to the time necessary to be a CASA advocate.
These volunteer opportunities are extremely important to the organization
by helping CASA for Kids run more efficiently and effectively.

To become a CASA Connection Volunteer you should:
  • Fill out an application form and return it to CASA for Kids.
  • Give three non-family references for a reference check.
  • Be interviewed by a staff member of CASA for Kids.
  • NOTE: some CASA Connection Volunteer positions require that you undergo a background check (Acts 33, 34, & 73 Clearances)
  • Be on time for shifts/scheduled volunteer duties.
  • Notify a CASA for Kids staff member as soon as possible if you are unable to make a shift.

Benefits of being a CASA for Kids Volunteer:
  • All volunteers will receive weekly updates regarding upcoming CASA events and activities.
  • All volunteers are invited to join in monthly training sessions geared towards helping our child advocates fulfill their annual training requirements and giving them more skills to better advocate for their CASA child. These sessions however, typically focus on services available in our community that will enrich the personal knowledge of our volunteers as well as give them a knowledge of services available in our community.
